June 4, 2022 - What a pity, that the Becot family decided to integrate this special cuvee in the grand vin (somewhere around 2012). Beausejour Becot can sometimes appear as rather hard and in need of extensive ageing. Gomerie is soft, relatively accessible and wonderfully expressive. Maybe the occasion was not top - bbq - and this wine would shine most with a traditionally prepared steak, but outstanding anyway. 93p+.

July 22, 2020 - This bottle was much closer to the 93-95 point 4/09 Parker review than the scary 86 point 5/11 review he gave the wine. Deep red color. Aromas of blackberries, coffee, eucalyptus and oak spices. Ripe, full-bodied fruit in the mouth with excellent depth and length and mostly resolved oak. Nicely full and long on the palate. A nice surprise given the low critic scores!

November 3, 2016 - Popped and poured. Turned into a really nice wine after an hour. Exceeded expectations, which were very low to start. Grew into a very nice mouthfeel, fruit, and tertiary flavours.

June 16, 2015 - Consistent with previous note. Couldn't keep my hands off of this bottle...hopefully I can now. There is a lot too this wine...but it needs time. Powerful acid, pleasant fruit, considerable oak. It needs time to integrate.

October 14, 2014 - Tasted this w Motz. Threw me for Wash State, especially on the nose. More oak than expected but I tasted on day one of opening. Silky and fruity but could not get traditional Bordeaux. Would have liked to see how it evolved w a couple of days of being opened.

Was informed that wine had been opened for two days
