July 30, 2018 - Finally pulled the cork on this wine and was not disappointed in the least. Still showed fresh stone fruit but added honey notes and layers of subtle complexity. What a stunning wine that demonstrates how acids mellow over time to keep a wine fresh yet mature.

June 10, 2018 - Final bottle. Not as brilliantly expressive as the previous one, it is more waxy than fruity, but a fine specimen none the less. It is sustained by its tingling acidity (quite remarkable for a ripe vintage like 2007), and it expresses the Pechstein terroir in an very elegant and refined fashion, with good concentration, and beautiful resonance and length.

September 10, 2017 - Mye tropisk frukt. Ikke så mineralsk som forventet. Kunne vært mer syre. Men en fint utviklet vin.

August 1, 2017 - This is just brilliant today. Tongue-tickling acidity, harmonious and intense, clean as a whistle, spicy basalt, floral lift, green herbs, succulent ripe fruit with a tropical edge, rich and weighty but elegant and refined, fully mature but with delightful tension, subtle bitters, very good resonance and length. Quite fabulous. At perfect peak.

April 13, 2016 - Very elegant, very pure, but missing the zest to be really great.

September 6, 2015 - Lovely colour, intense but lively and youthful; deep and complex nose, not explosive or fruit-driven (even if there are hints of citrus and peach), but vinous and nuanced instead and focusing on basalt minerality, spices and earth, with some floral lift; rich and rounded but lively palate, rounded good Pfalz weight and richness balanced by lively acidity, subtle bitters; good to very good length. Completely consistent with previous tasting notes; fully mature but no hurry.

August 27, 2015 - Good wine friends; random wines (@ JK): In the bouquet ripe yellow fruits, melon and litchi as well as minerals and some petrol. On the palate quite focused with white fruits, minerals, good acidity and a touch of sweetness. Good concentration. Tasty and elegant wine.

August 27, 2015 - Blind tasted. Peach galore. Lots of matter, very spicy and creamy. Candyshop, spearmint, touch of alcohol in the end. Very nice.

February 21, 2014 - More energetic and with better acidity than I remembered from two years ago. There may be a slight lack of fruit, but this a broad-shouldered wine with considerable mineral drive. Flavours are a bit light, but style and quality are undeniable. Hint of wax indicates full maturity. Not a great Pechstein but this seems to have more stamina than many other 2007 GG's.
