December 26, 2023 - Excellent nose; easy to ID as Pinot. Some reddish/plum fruit is still on the palate, but it is mostly dominated by warmer baking spices, cinnamon. There's a fair amount of mineral on the finish, which is consistent with other old Patricia Green wines I've consumed. This was a recent auction purchase and it appeared to have been well stored.

Drink now or hold out of curiosity.

November 23, 2018 - Relatively pale garnet with some bricking at the rim. At first the nose was redolent of bitter orange, ripe pinot fruit and some spice but the nose quickly went away and never returned, even on the second date. Fairly light and one-dimensional on the palate, a surprise for this vintage. Not a bad wine but there's nothing here to recommend it either. Purchased on release and stored in my cellar since.

July 10, 2017 - May have lost some vibrancy but still very drinkable and enjoyable. It has the earthiness and a spicy finish. Went well with grilled salmon with basil and mint.

May 6, 2017 - Only showed primary notes, only hinting occasionally at any complexity. No richness or forest floor funk. A fan of PGC wines, but not a fan of the Eason Vineyards that I've had. I was disappointed by this wine.

May 2, 2016 - Incredible nose ... dark, rich, red and blue/black fruits, plenty of moist earth, a bit of spice and a hint of burgundian barnyard. Rather rich and full bodied for an Oregon pinot, especially one from Jim and Patty, but without any fat ... it is somehow both a lean and a richly-flavored wine - which doesn't happen very often. What stood out to me most was how harmonious, seamless and balanced the wine is on the e palate. All the fruit and the great balance makes it an "easy drinker" but it is also a wine of finesse and elegance. Simply terrific.
