March 21, 2021 - No longer my type of wine, but for what it is - it's remarkable. Massive, robust and concentrated, loaded with dark fruit dominated by tree bark, leather yet the depth of the olfactory is staggering - you get the picture. It seems descending from the plato, so I'm glad I opened my last bottle yesterday.
March 4, 2020 - Smooth, lots of acidity for a cab, drinkable and pairs well with lamb but looks like it's going downhill
January 16, 2019 - This has not been a great wine despite coming from Alexander Valley. But dug this out of the cellar and it has never been better. Worth drinking with nice body and a decent finish. Tannins are relaxed but still present. Drink soon.
July 12, 2013 - This has improved greatly and was quite enjoyable. Decant 30 minutes or more. Tight blackberry nose with blue and black fruit flavors giving way to fig and cassias. Nice acidity with a medium finish. Should continue to improve
July 25, 2012 - Good bottle for the midweek. Not great, but an easy drinking cab.
March 21, 2011 - Classic Alexander Valley cab. Roundness, slightly sweet, mild tannins, with good fruit showing. Fine.
December 8, 2010 - Not bad no lingering taste. Would buy again for parties
November 11, 2010 - Nice wine. Will buy again...Solid.
October 24, 2010 - This cab was a little on the dry side but was a very good cab and for the price you cant beat it.
September 23, 2010 - Nothing up front acidic finish. Nose had plum and leather. Probably won't buy again
