  October 23, 2014 - Perhaps I'm overrating this, but at the price, it is amazing. I think this shows the quality of juice that was available for a song during the Great Recession. A little too oaky at first, but with an hour or two of air, the oak recedes, the tannins integrate, and the cassis, chocolate, and vanilla shine through. I can imagine this drinking well for years to come, but this is my last bottle, so I will never know.

  November 28, 2012 - Very dark red color. PNP, drank 2 glasses over 2+ hours. this bottle proved that the first bottle was no fluke. Nose has ripe cassis, mulberry, coffee, vanillin, and oak. The palate has full body, a round mouth feel,cassis, mulberry, esprersso, oak, fine tannins, and a medium finish. This is very nicely balanced, not overly oaked, and is a great QPR find for everyday drinking. Recommended. 90+pts.

  August 3, 2012 - Very happy with this, my last bottle. Yes, the oak is there, but there's also nicely layered cassis, and some tart and wonderfully drying red currant/cranberry. I'd love to have a few more bottles to drink in the short term.

  March 29, 2012 - What did the acorn say when it grew up? Well, it could have referred to this wine which, while pretty good, is like chewing an oak tree. Way too much oak, which hides the decent cabernet underneath. Comparable: Brandon Wood.
