April 22, 2006 - Wow. I love this wine. It is almost port like. very round and lush. the sweetness is not overwhelming by any means. it is unique, and quite a nice way to end the meal.
April 7, 2006 - wow. a perfect end to a great meal. This wine is full of body and flavors. It is a nice complement to a chocoalte dessert or by itself. Great effort.
March 31, 2006 - Sweet grape jelly nose. On the palate, it is not syruppy at all. The fruit continued and there seemed to be a hit of something like eucalyptus. There is a ton of structure with some tannins on the finish. This is an excellent desert wine that would pair well with cheese.
March 13, 2006 - Fair amount of oak that hides the high alcohol. Interesting wine with "port-like" qualities. I'm on the fence if I like this or not.
December 24, 2005 - Interesting wine. The late harvest grenache has a smooth, slightly spicy feel. Very intense flavor, but balanced with more fruit than sweetness.
October 22, 2005 - First experience with this wine, hence the 90?.... it's definitely outstanding, just very different. Dark ruby in color. Nose presents bright raspberries and some sweet extra-ripe fruit, but doesn't suggest sugar. Palate hits with a medium level of sweetness, some raisin and very mild prune notes. A unique wildberry (thinking mulberry from my youth) flavor on the palate dominates. Some kirsch...very long finish. Holding 1/2 the bottle for tomorrow to see how this develops.
