  May 4, 2022 - Opened with my wine buddies at our weekly wine dinner. The Tannins still weren't resolved yet. Still good drinking but needs a long decant or another 10 years aging. I have 1989 Sori Tildens that are singing beautifully now. I will still wait on my other bottle. Love Gaja wine!

  November 24, 2021 - Opened in the bottle all day. Stylistically modern but not picking up a ton of oak. Ripe dark berries, pine, and mineral. Still firm gripping tannins hiding the bulk of its complexity. Give it 5 plus years.

  December 21, 2013 - I am probably shortchanging this sublime wine at 96 Pts. There is a wealth of rich, sweet, fleshy, ripe fruit, soft, silky tannins and an intriguing floral, mint, plum and blackberry filled nose that creates a great tasting experience. Served blind, this was a treat.

  April 11, 2011 - This is hugely grippy and youthful at this stage. Full bodied with loads of plum juice, raspberry and current. Good purity, lovely integrated oak with lots of clove and cinnamon. Hints of mint and tar with herbacious notes that come out on the long finish.
