June 24, 2020 - Cloudy medium to deep ruby core with noticeable bricking. Nose of baked red fruits, tar, earth, vegetables and just hints of floral (very faint) and chocolate scents. Plenty of oak. Some heat and not the best balance, medium plus tannin and high acidity. The wine is compelling but not great. I would also add I did not feel this was past its peak. Approaching maturity at best. I won’t open the next one for at least a few years. Maybe the oak will settle and and the acid will calm down.

May 29, 2019 - Final bottle and didn’t disappoint - really elegant combination of distinctive sour cherry, leather, floral notes and sweet spice. Has aged really well for the modern styling. ****+

March 2, 2019 - Last tasted a few months ago. Very similar. A good full bodied brunello that has aged quite well but should be drunk quite soon. Peaked after 2-3 hours in the decanter

February 20, 2019 - a rather oaky presentation which was a bit too much for me, perhaps a modern style BDM. Tannins seem to be softening but more aging might help. Seemed not well integrated yet, not really my kind of BDM.

January 18, 2019 - Probably a little past its peak but still drinking very well. Showing some dried raisin on top of the sweet fruit. Mostly resolved tannins, very good acidity.
