August 22, 2022 - Wow. An excellent surprise in that it was better than expected. P'n'P and after 15 minutes was fully open and held its spot for the next couple hours, and certainly would have continued but for finishing the bottle. Just hints of bricking but no loss of color otherwise. Striking overripe but also sour/tangy red fruits, with rich black fruits, iron oxide element added to its complexity, dried herbs, touch of sweet Oak. Long smooth tannins. Very long finish. Distinctive flavor profile. Wish I had more. This bottle would have been lovely 5 years from now.

November 13, 2021 - A rainy Saturday afternoon with friends (My place): Opened around two hours before consumption, without decant. Served with food (baked ham, oven baked potatoes and dried beans).

At first a bit too acidic and no giving much, the wine got better and better with time in the glass. Beautiful blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese. No question this is at peak now, could stay there perhaps a few more years.

April 9, 2020 - plenty of Sangiovese on display as well as the Cabernet but quite resolved and a touch of silky tannin. A wave of cleansing acidity follows the long finish. Seems to be at peak right now but will keep well.

March 2, 2019 - Winebar [4 Whites, 8 Reds, & 4 *shared* bottles] from 03/01/19 (Vintage Wines Ltd., San Diego, CA): THANK you for sharing this AWESOME wine, José & Arturo! :)

    A blend of C.S. & Sangiovese, the C.S. commonly making up 50-70%?

N: RIPE cherries with a definite funkingess & notes of smoke, leather, poss oranges, & something I can't quite ID?

P: LM body; NICE, ALMOST swtish frt BEAUTIFULLY counterbalanced by acidity which slowly, without losing touch with the frt, seamlessly evolves into a very LONG, BALANCED finish which has a melding of tangy/bitterish/swt aspects, yet with NOTHING dominating! Should be SENSATIONAL with food now & for the next 4-5 yrs, I'd guess, though I'm thinking @ its ZENITH right now. 13.5% ABV; My Exceptional-, though I'd NOT argue against Exceptional-/Exceptional. 93 pts ea WS & Tanzer, 92 WA, and 17/20 Jancis Robinson. [As of early Mar '19, wine-searcher still shows 1 U.S. source @ $129.]
