February 16, 2022 - An earthy, spicy wine, leather, ripeness, but not too, recognizable bitterness, maybe not completely balanced, but the wine asks your attention. Drink now.
April 28, 2021 - Seemed a bit over the hill to me. Drink up (or sell!).
April 18, 2021 - Not really any bricking to speak of. A bit cloudy in the glass - probably should have decanted for sediment. Bright red fruit on the nose with the typical CdP peppery nose. Ripe fruit on the palate. Resolved tannins. Good structure from the acidity. Drinking splendidly at the moment. Better with wild game bird than red meat at this point in its life.
May 19, 2019 - Excellent QPR. Very good CdP. Fairly big. Plenty of garrigue. Cherry, Provençal herbs, fairly long finish.
April 8, 2018 - 2nd of 6. This is in a good place. Plummy with a layer of garrigue. Soft acids. Fairly long finish. Outstanding QPR at $27.
January 30, 2018 - Holding up really well and tasting much more secondary characteristics, as expected.
December 10, 2017 - This was better than the 2007 Halos de Jupiter or the 2007 Chapoutier La Bernadine. Much cheaper too.
September 4, 2016 - Big, flush CdP. Pizza wine. A CdP for those who don't crave the funk. Ready now, but big enough to hold further.
February 24, 2016 - Das wird nicht besser! Direkt nach dem Öffnen aus dem kühlen Keller dachte ich noch, das könnte ganz schön werden. Das erste Glas war dann auch nicht schlecht (90 P). Mit zunehmender Belüftung und Temperatur wurde er aber immer portiger und konturloser! Auch hier (nicht der erste 07er) hat man es wohl mit der Traubenreife etwas übertrieben!? Besser bald und nicht zu warm trinken! Die 88P sind der Durchschnitt! Mein letzter Schluck hatte vielleicht noch 86P.
November 26, 2015 - Of 20 or so wines served tonight, this one was left the most full, by far, with less than 1/4 of the bottle consumed. For at least the first few hours, it is almost unapproachable -- flammable nose and ripe, alcoholic berry compote on the palate. Will check if there is any improvement toward drinkability with some additional air.
