Lype Likes this wine:
October 10, 2020 - Open and expressive nose, quite promising, the palate is fragrant and elegantly light with red berries, wild strawberries, cedar, hints of cassis and ink, mildly spicy and earthy. Enough acidity and tannins to give this a nice structure albeit (understandably) far from first growth profoundness. At this time the chateau produced 200 000 - 220 000 bottles of the Grand Vin annually but in this disasterous year only 11 500 cases of GV was produced. this shows in the second wine as surprisingly good quality, especially given the vintage. Drinking beautifully now and will remain on this level for some years.
