June 19, 2021 - A very mature and mellow syrah with an earthy and pepper nose that is tied well together with a berry that just on the darker side of rasberry. Palate is the same with calm tanins and a long finish. Very enjoyable!

September 13, 2018 - Rich and velvety. Great fruit, but well balanced.

December 31, 2017 - Dense and juicy blackberry predominates, with pepper spice and a hint of olives. Finishes long and dry, yet the tannins are completely subsumed by the density of the fruit, which manages to give shape to the wine. A jovial syrah in all.

May 20, 2017 - Big dark syrah. I always think of this vineyard producing those types of wines so I grabbed this by mistake not realizing it should probably sit. It was fine, just starting to develop some tea and savory, so I think it will improve quite a bit over the next 5 to 7 years.

February 16, 2017 - This is a beautiful full bodied Syrah. On the nose you get jammy black fruits, smokiness and hints of cloves, anise and cinnamon. The tannins are soft and smooth with a long and lingering finish. This is very nice now but should continue to evolve very well over the next 5-7 years.

December 22, 2016 - On opening, strong nose of vitamin C which subsided after a half-hour., yielding gamy meat. Smooth but not enough going on over the salty rocks for my taste.

December 3, 2016 - Decanted for 30 minutes before service. In the glass, maroon with a purplish tint. On the nose, crushed raspberries and dried herbs. On the palate, soft texture coupled with equal parts red fruit and tapenade, with tannins asserting themselves on a long finish. While the modest decant was sufficient, I think this wine has several more years ahead at this plateau.
