May 21, 2018 - Last bottle, and it looks like I'm getting a pretty similar experience as back in '12, but no discernable heat at this point. Brickish garnet color with transparency. Aromas of red fruits—predominantly raspberry and sour cherry, along with cinnamon, red hot candies, cola, cedar, dill, eucalyptus, orange peel, and black tea. Little more complexity on the nose now too. Medium body, medium (+) acid and finish, with flavors of red fruits, baking spices, black tea, black pepper, and orange peel. Bright and spicy, but also smooth, lush, integrated, and balanced. This is drinking well, but I think it could go another few years as well. Enjoyed revisiting this one tonight with paprika chicken and sweet potatoes. I gotta give it up, great showing tonight, 90-91.

January 21, 2017 - Comes across as too sweet and candied, with a cherry cola vibe and some nice raspberry notes, but ultimately the structure falls apart in the midpalate and departs with a short finish. Too bad--this was definatelyy better a few years ago.
