February 8, 2018 - this wine is still GOOD at 12 years old! Incredible but, objectively, it is a good not terrific chardonnay. We had it with Dungeness crab with black bean sauce and it did an admirable job complimenting the food. And it held up well to spicy Chinese black bean sauce. We tasted it as a test of how long a Domaine Drouhin chard could age and still be drinkable. It passed but, in my opinion, didn't measure up to the 2012 Domaine Drouhin chard we also drank.

June 16, 2013 - Snappy acidity, lemon curd and, peach. Nicely complex, with nuances of flavors peeking out. Really delightful.

February 18, 2013 - Bright straw yellow color. Forward aromas of pear, apple, vanilla, and nutmeg. Palate has melon, pear, yellow apple, and nutmeg notes that tail into a vanilla floral finish of medium-short length. After a few minutes in the glass, this shows heat on the finish and has some astringency associated with the alcohol. Very similar to the 2009 in this respect and really not showing any more advancement than the 2009 at this age. Amazingly fresh, but a bit disappointing that the alcohol shows up on the finish. Drink or hold.

October 6, 2012 - Interesting wine to taste. Everything is well proportioned, nothing sticks out. The aromatics resembles Meursault; green fruit, nuts and a whiff of citrus. Slightly flat/dull on the palate, lacks freshness, a full but not fat wine. Chez Niels at Weehawken.

June 26, 2011 - A slight hint of oxidation on opening. Blew off quickly. Lovely golden color; wine is starting to caramelize. Complex layered fruit, moderate creamy oak. Very smooth. Age has been kind to this bottle. Just shy of a delicious rating.

June 7, 2010 - Wonderful juice coming of age. Light golden straw in color and nice thick legs. A wonderful nose of dried apricots & river rock. Clean & crisp palate of pear, myer lemon and dried apricot with a wonderful creamy background in a medium long finish. I think it improved on the second day and shows more complexity when severed closer to 55 degrees.

May 28, 2010 - This is very impressive. I did not expect this. Very light and crisp. Cold weather Chard, for sure. Bright lemon and citrus with only a touch of oaky cream. Crisp tangy apple. Everything is in harmony. While this will not wow you with complexity and depth, it is a very solid offering.

March 22, 2010 - Pretty much the same notes as last year, although slightly less tropical. The minerality is terrific; I only wish this was more precise and less oaked. Paired just fine with pork and pasta.
