November 27, 2020 - Grand cru of California! 13 years old, mature character but not over the hill. Not even close. Enjoy with Thanksgiving supper outside pandemic 2020. Went perfect with the menu and fall weather.

March 22, 2019 - This bottle drank like a Carneros Chardonnay and a delicious one at that. Still reasonably fresh at 12 years of age but drink up!

October 14, 2018 - Second Sunday Group: 2006 vs 2007 Napa Cabs/Blends (R&D's): Double blind. Deep color. Butterscotch and lemony citrus undertones. Good acidity; lemon and apple flavors. More advanced than the first though still quite good. Guessed older Chassagne, perhaps 2001 +/- Niellon.

June 30, 2018 - This wine still has character, but definitely not up to expectations. A bit murky color and unpleasant acidic aftertaste offset a rich structure with low presence of oak and full bodied fruit.

May 18, 2018 - Crisp clear and overall a balanced wine, a hint of pear, but fruit a bit muted. Not worth holding on as it seems past its prime.

June 14, 2017 - Big but perfectly aged and balanced. The oak is present but well integrated and round without overwhelming. Nose of oak, hey, nuts, honeysuckle and tangerine. Long & layered finish.

May 20, 2017 - Agree with hsacks in all respects. This was a great bottle of Hyde, very much like my bottle from last year. Nonetheless, I would drink relatively soon -- it can only go one way from here.
