October 31, 2023 - This bottle is great, and drinking great. Overall, thought many of the 2002 champagnes were a bit plus sized. However, this is a big powerful champagne, full of life, but the structure holds it all together. Lovely

November 15, 2016 - Steak & Napa Cabs with 10+ Years (Joan's in the Park, St. Paul, MN): Medium gold color. Followed 1 glass over 30 minutes. This bottle was a bit tired and showing some oxidative qualities. Sour apple, poached pear, and biscuit on the nose. The palate is more oxidative, apple cider, baked pear, mineral, and yeasty.

August 27, 2016 - Anniversary dinner at Staplehouse. I'm still low on the Champagne learning curve, but I thought this was youthful and vibrant with pear, apple and some yeast and mineral notes. Very enjoyable.

July 11, 2013 - Champagne tasting with AuZone (AuZone, Stockholm): Light yellow. Nose with ripe pear, red apple, bread, a hint of red berries, some smoke, mineral, and nougat. Palate with red apple, pear, some spice, some mineral, rather high acidity, some body with some wool impression, long aftertaste with apple. Fruity and apply style, pleasant, still rather young, 89 p.

January 23, 2013 - Still a light golden hue to the Taillet at the age of 10+. I remember Matt calling out the disgorgement date so it's nice that they put that on the back of the label. Fine bead and a marvelous aroma of yeast lending a salty sardine-like aroma which really added interest for me. The palate plumbs depths you just can't get from most entry level Champagnes. Long fulfilling finish. This will certainly develop more complexity over the next decade. Drink by 2025.

December 21, 2012 - Delicious, slightly oxidized, rich & nutty wine that seems to have really benefitted from aging. Lovely brioche and cream notes on palate.
