November 24, 2018 - Still very fruit-forward (mostly red fruits) but very high in alcohol - almost port-like. Matched well with chili but not sure how many foods I would drink this with.

June 25, 2014 - A very solid California Syrah. Red cherries dominate the palate (and appear on the nose), with Syrah spice on the finish.

July 29, 2013 - A nice Santa Barbara Syrah. Good fruit (mostly cherries), smooth with a touch of heat. Faded the second night.

June 3, 2013 - These are Big wines. They need time to open up, especially if you drink them alone. With food, they seem more approachable, but get something hearty. I have a pretty good range of vintages and I definitely recommend holding at least 4 years. Enjoy!!

January 15, 2012 - Very solid 90. Bold flavors, dark color, and it held up overnight.

May 22, 2011 - Trip to Solvang and Los Olivos (Los Olivos, CA and Solvang, CA): Tasted non-blind in their tasting room. Very fruity dark berry nose with some floral notes. Much drier than the nose would predict with more dark fruit and leather. Somewhat Old World in style. Medium long finish. Hold 1-2 years.
