October 15, 2015 - PNP - the first sip knocked my socks off - still a ton of fruit, albeit slightly dusty and faded - but in a really nice way. Initially there was a slightly vanilla-y finish, which now with a little air, has integrated in to what is a very ripe plummy cascading long finish. Tannins are soft and pleasant, and there is just a hint of acidity. A slight fading of the color at the edges, and the wine is slightly cloudy. I just removed it from storage, so I have to imagine that this is due to the suspension of fine sediment.

February 13, 2011 - This might be the best Rhone style wine I've had from Paso. We had this with wines that were twice and triple the price. This held it's own and them some. Wine was in a perfect state. Fruity and earthy with great balance. Can't wait to buy more.

March 15, 2010 - This is one seriously good bottle of wine right now. I actually had somewhat low expectations after a less than great 2002 recently, but this bottle really shined tonight. Starts with a mouthwatering nose and then the mid palate is just a wow right now, a fruit explosion that has developed just a touch, that shows a great expression of Paso wine. This is a medium heavyweight but it really carries it well and is just seemless to the finish. The are some fine tannins, just enough to square off the fruit and linger on the tongue for a nice lengthy finish. I had convinced myself not to hold these VC's very long but this wine has definitely benefited from the bottle age.

October 10, 2009 - Gorgeous Rhone Ranger: deep earthy palate but still some lively fruit. Easily paired with the whole dinner. The finish just went on for ever...

September 5, 2009 - Popped and poured, and then consumed over 4 hours. Medium to full-bodied wine that is dark magenta in color. On the nose, blueberries, lightly charred wood, and light VA. Blue and black berry fruit and toasty oak on the very long 30-second finish. This one is a heady concoction that serves well as a cocktail or BBQ wine...not overly complex, but fun for what it offers, even if a little less enjoyable than it was its youth.

July 25, 2009 - Rasberry flavor with fairly forceful spice. A full bodied wine that brings the GSM blend you expect along with a delightful nose.
