December 22, 2009 - The bottle is really unique, taller than most bottles. The initial nose gave me medicated black cherries notes. That medicinal nose blew off with time and it gave way to a fruity black berry and mulberry nose, lovely aroma.
On the initiate palate, the wine gave a bitter dark cocoa taste, with a notes of bitter raw coffee bean characteristics, unusual wine for me. Again with time, the wine started to show smooth velvety tannins, hints of vanilla, fruity yet not sweet plummy taste. Medium bodied, well balanced wine. 87pts in the start - 89pts later. Drinking well now, do not seem to have tannins or structure for aging. Would recommend this wine for those who wants to try something new that is immediate gratification without hurting the wallet.
