September 22, 2015 - Just opened and it appears maybe a year or two past it's prime. Some fruit left but is quickly overcome with alcohol. Sort of reiterates many of the "newcomer" Washington makers create very good reds for 3-5 years but many don't sit well for the long run.

October 11, 2011 - Tasted a bit past its prime. Some slight off flavors. Very rich, inky wine with good mouthfeel for the style, but flavor and aroma not what i expected

November 1, 2010 - I really liked this; in fact, I wish I had another bottle that I could rest for another 3 - 5 years. This is a big merlot, not a thin simple one that is often stereotyped for the varietal. Notes of current, vanilla, and cedar. A bit heavy on the oak at this point, and a think a bit more time would allow it to open up and show it's underlying complexity. It definitely has the structure and quality to last a few years. 91 pts for now, but potentially a bit higher after some time to evolve.

September 27, 2010 - Lovely wine. Elegant and rich, a great expression of Walla Walla fruit. Dark fruits with a long finish with notes of licorice, black pepper and blackberry. Paired with a T-Bone steak and grilled onions and peppers.

September 10, 2010 - Great version of Washington merlot... beautifully balanced. Bottle disappeared in not much more than an hour (2 people sharing this).
