October 10, 2019 - I have had this wine many times and right now it is completely closed up and very uncooperative. Even after an hour in the glass it was tight and unyielding. It has become more herbaceous and spicy with the tannins being counterintuitively more visible. If you are considering opening this one right now note that it is backwards (but not in decline). I would suggest holding it for 12 to 18 months. Perhaps there is something wonderful on the other side.

October 4, 2019 - A well made wine - plenty of fruit, good balance, and reaching an interesting more mature stage. I little too big (and a touch alcoholic) for me, but drinking well now with a few more years left.

October 3, 2019 - As before, more polished and advanced than expected. Very satisfying with dark fruit, mocha, and minty aromas and flavors.

September 2, 2019 - This 12 years old bottle is a dark red purple color, few wide spaced legs coming down slowly. At taste is round , smooth with a dry finishing. Aromas of prunes and old leather. A solid 93 in my opinion.
    Unfortunately last bottle...

May 16, 2019 - Really good tonight. Sweet, floral, heat and finish. Tonight's showing would imply that these have years still to age. Sorry to say this is the last of mine but no guilt on pouring an '07 these days.

February 10, 2019 - Earlier tastings of this label cited this release being "a bit tight and slightly closed on opening, but after an hour opened up to show wonderful black and blue berry fruits".

This week this was more approachable on opening and even appealing in the couple of following days, better than when young. It showed the same profile as earlier, garnet colored, medium full bodied, complex black berry and black currant fruits with slight hint of mocha - nicely balanced and polished with velvety well integrated smooth silky tannins on a nice lingering soft finish.

February 9, 2019 - Drinking at peak. Right where it needs to be. Beautiful, plush tannins seat a dense but not heavy wine with chill, confident, dark napa fruit. now -2022.

January 31, 2019 - I don't give many 94's. This is as good as Napa Cab gets. Do not age this more. Drink up. Fruit up front is perfectly balanced with some fading tannins. No need to decant. Not cheap wine, but if I ever find it discounted, I will buy more.

November 24, 2018 - Camphor on the nose. Dark fruit. Flavors of faint eucalyptus, dark blackberry, cassis. Smooth, velvety tannins. Wonderful fruit.
