  July 9, 2017 - fast perfekt, weich samtig, im Vordergrund eine Harmonie aus Mineralien und fruchtigen Tanninen, die Magnum hat diese Balance aus weichen Säuren und etwas Holz und Kies sehr gut erhalten, nach 2 h aber verfliegt die Harmonie schnell und harten Spitzen kommen zu Tage, trockene Säure, saure Beeren und staubiges Holz. In den ersten Stunden nach dem Öffnen ein feiner Genuss, austrinken!

  January 21, 2017 - Pnp. Bottle in outstanding condition. Bottom neck fill, clean cork on top and only about 1/4 soaked. Clear garnet color with only slight browning at the transparent rim. Plenty of forest floor on nose and palate, the later also showing leather and a touch medicinal notes. Fine tannins still there. Overall good balance. Short finish.
  Not bad for a Cru Bourgeois at almost age 40. A very solid Bordeaux vintage the 79, now that the tannins have softened, don't expect greatness but the wines seem to be still drinking pretty well across the board
