Community Tasting Notes 2

January 17, 2010 - Dark salmon pink, almost ruby. On the nose, cherry comes to mind right away, but obvious grape skin characteristics, like a little egg shell and grape seed. On the palate, nice rose petal and cherry flavors, quite solid medium body; almost full. Medium acidity, combined with somewhat bitter tannins. Good intensity. Good length. Somewhat one-dimensional and boring. Mainly mineral character. Flinty. Bitter tannins dominate over the good traits. Syrah, no doubt, but where's the fruit?

January 17, 2010 - Very good, had it with a rib eye steak. Spot on and has an amazing nose you can't tire of. It is an ambodiement of a shiraz.
