November 16, 2021 - My prior bottle wasn't great, so I opened another to double check. This is better and enjoyable. The nose outperforms the taste. Flavors are fully integrated and tannins resolved. Mature and in gentle decline. Probably a few years left, but I don't have confidence it will still shine at age 21, when I could (legally) gift it to my twin boys on their 21st birthdays.

November 17, 2020 - Previous bottle (same lot) had massive VA - you could pour it on french fries instead of vinegar and the fries would be delicious. This bottle - no defects. Aromas of black fruit, chocolate and sottobosco. Palate is ripe, extracted dark fruit. Very modern style that focused on ripeness and sacrifices terroir. Tannins are soft; I don't expect much evolution given the intense ripe fruit profile.
