    December 1, 2022 - Delicious.

Well integrated fruit and acidity, powerful nose of smoke, earth, and deep red fruit, and a long finish combine to make a wonderful drinking experience.

There may be many years of drinking pleasure ahead, but it's unlikely that my sole remaining bottle will see such a future - it's too good as is at present, a splendid example of all that Burgundy can be.

November 11, 2018 - Lighter in color with slight bricking at edges. Tannins are tight and hard. High acid. After 2 or more hours in the decanter things started to soften somewhat. Cranberry, bright cherries. Still not showing a lot of fruit or depth in general. I hope this gets some legs in a couple more years.

November 8, 2018 - Some slight bricking. An overlay of peaty humus/woodsy undergrowth on the nose which is attractive, but palate is sharp and dominated by cranberry/cherry pit. A vigorous "Fourrier shake" helped the wine relax a bit and released some gentle strawberry/riper cherry flavors and made the wine more palatable. A slight tertiary fruitcake note. Not much depth or persistence. Poor qpr.

August 6, 2016 - Colour unclear. Looks like stems has been added as colour is quite weak. Flavours good and complex, fruity and elegance.

Taste is Strawberry, earth, spices, leather. Dry tannins, high acidity, medium finish. Closing down and gets very dry / green stems like after 1 hour. Taste could be more complex.

March 23, 2015 - Dull brick color. Nose has evolved somewhat from the last bottle - still has the juicy red fruit but there is less under-ripe / green elements… though there is still a hint. Medium bodied and fresh, this is a nice little bottle. (89)

June 27, 2014 - Nice wine. A strong mineral element adds interest to the pure Pinot fruit. Not terribly deep but solid. Finishes with a touch of green bitterness but it is a small touch. Should improve. (88)
