November 24, 2023 - Agree with Nothung. Sweet dark fruit, somewhat candied, great with thanksgiving turkey and the sides…

July 31, 2020 - Still going strong. Extremely fruit forward and rich, with good structure. Opened, decanted and drunk, which seemed right. Didn’t change much over the ensuing hour.

December 18, 2018 - What a delight, I was expecting this wine to be on the decline but It was not the case at all. Mature and ready to drink but delicious

October 29, 2018 - Nose of mushroom, roasted meat, and cherry fruit, same on the palate, big body, how this was mixed in with the 2015 in my cellar-I don't know, no heat, no big taste, no mouth filling fruit, but a nice oldie, went well with the meaty pizza, and a long, long finish.

April 16, 2017 - Nose of pot roast, mushroom, cherry, and sage, same on the palate, big body, delicious, past its prime but hanging in there, great Zinfandel, long, long finish.

September 1, 2014 - Nose of raspberry fruit, dust, and leather, more of the same on the palate, rich, fruity, tasty for 15 year old zinfandel, long, pleasant finish.

June 12, 2014 - Perhaps being a little over the hill is good for this wine. While definitely "hot" at first opening, it calmed down, and was especially enjoyable second night under pump. I haven't liked Martinelli zin flavors recently, but this seemed OK.

July 17, 2013 - all heat no nose to speak of. Evidence of being past its prime abound. Sorry I hadn't opened it sooner. Can tell I missed its peak. flavors were muted by the alcohol. remember some anise or licorice. Like listening to Frank Sinatra while AC DC blares from a nearby stereo.
