March 11, 2021 - Turned out a nice surprise. Drinking so well now. On its best.

April 1, 2020 - Aged well and ready to drink. Classic signature of the leathery and a bit spicy. Medium boby and acidity. Not sure what it would taste when young, but the time did bring out its beauty.

December 25, 2019 - Christmas Dinner. Beef Wellington. Awesome classic pencil lead/graphite black fruited nose. Palate follows through with a touch of olive and earth. Not quite dried out. Secondary fruit. Impressive length. Still holding its own some 23 years later. Great QPR also. Yum.

November 23, 2019 - I can see why this wine is so unloved on this website. Even by 1996 standards, this wine is so tannic. A combination of the year, St Estephe and Cordier rusticity. Deep scarlet colour, nose of leather, smoke, beef broth and capsicum. Better on day two when some Cabernet berry shows itself. The palate is dry, tough and tannic. Almost Barolo like, and in need of protein to show itself. If you have some, decant and leave for day 2 or wait another 5 plus years, as I suspect the fruit is still in there wrapped up and hibernating.
