November 17, 2021 - This was very interesting and a great pairing really helped save a somewhat tired wine from seeming too old. Nose of orange blossom, grapefruit rind, violet, poached pear, honeysuckle, and almond puree. Viscous palate with a distinct orange oil note that shined over the honeyed, nutty character of the wine. Medium acidity and decent length, this was really aided by the medium spicy butter chicken we had with jasmine rice, which had creamy and spicy notes to offset the honeyed character that I wouldn't enjoy as much on it's own.

July 7, 2017 - Un beau 13% d'alcool ici...
Oeil : jaune intense légèrement doré, très gras en parois
Nez : projection de forte intensité dès l'ouverture, qui a évolué pendant toute la dégustation, épicé sur la vanille, une pointe de muscade, fruité jaune rappelant l'abricot et la poire pochée, noisette, petit côté truffé, pointe de cèdre, caramel anglais, minéral, superbe nez
Bouche : sec, plutôt gras, acidité encore bien rafraîchissante pour faire vibrer l'ensemble, amertume moyenne, persistance longue, rétro cohérence et aérienne malgré toute la matière
Conclusion : Grand vin! À l'aveugle certains pensaient à grand Bourgogne. Mieux encore... c'est un grand Rhône de l'Hermitage!! À boire jusqu'en 2020 peut-être, mais tellement bon maintenant, il sera difficile d'attendre la dernière en cave...

September 1, 2016 - White flowers, vanilla, honey, and a hint of stone fruit on the nose. More vanilla with citrus notes on the palate. Ok finish.
