September 9, 2020 - Red fruited nose. Chunky rich palate that shows off the grand cru fruit of CSD but made in a bit more old-fashioned, rougher style. Quite a bit of tannin. Medium length finish. Not as exciting as some other wines tonight but a fine red burgundy.

September 9, 2020 - Zoom tasting with the wine group - Burgundy (Zoom): Tasted blind. Light ruby, slight bricking; absolutely intense aromatics with black pepper spices, black cherry, red fruited; palate is medium bodied, medium-plus acidity, lovely fruits, medium tannins, simpler fruit on the palate than on the nose; finish is medium length. Intense, maybe not quite in the same elegant style as the others in the lineup but delicious nonetheless. 92
Day 2: The intensity and complexity has waned, and the rustic and rough sections of the wine show more. More enjoyable yesterday, but a good wine either day.

April 7, 2013 - Very elegant, in a lighter style, but with some depth.
