June 19, 2012 - Not very good...my wife wouldn't even drink it. For me. It was drinkable, but pretty bad.

May 18, 2010 - Experimented with letting this rest a while. Seems to have lost some of the heavy vanilla characteristics that I did not like. I guess the price/quality index puts it in the good range for me.

January 19, 2007 - Not bad! Kinda embarrassing to post up this note but I don't care! Compared to the 03, I felt this was a winner! I dumped the 03's out immediately but I can drink this! With their case production, I'm sure there's some type of bottle variation but I swear this is a $10 wine. Kind of interesting profile...has a touch of heat on the smell but smells like prunes and I'm even getting a slight cigar profile. I did have a cold this morning so my senses might be way off but this is getting to be pretty nice! A very sweet, almost vanilla like flavor with ripe berries...finish is surprisingly decent! Not much tannins going on but a decent drink.

I've had my share of cheapo wines and this is by far the best $2 I have ever bought. If served blind, I would not have guessed two buck chuck. I've had the 03 being opened and I can smell two buck chuck from at least 20 feet away.

If this is due to my cold, it sure would save me a lot of $ on my credit card bill....175 bottles of this vs 1 bottle of Levy McClellan...

October 12, 2006 - Typical $3 bottle of wine -- thick, syrupy and lacking in complexity.

    March 14, 2006 - Yuck. I had a cold so I couldn't smell it. I tasted the apricots as well. I'm not a wine snob, but ...
