June 15, 2020 - Turleys may be the only Charbonos in the cellar, so I may not know what I'm talking about. Don't think this is past its prime. Somewhat like a smooth shiraz. Pleasant purple fruit, nuanced, full-bodied but alcohol quite tame. Good finish.

August 17, 2017 - Well balanced, nice mouthfeel, in a great place, but will not hold much longer.

February 26, 2016 - Incredible value for a wine with this depth of flavor, bright fruit with a smoky finish. Light tannins but well balanced.

March 8, 2015 - Solid showing. Black fruits, dusty tannins, pulled for a pot roast dinner. Nicely balanced food wine. Good now but could go a bit longer.

January 9, 2015 - A bit thin and sour with hints of slated blue fruit behind. Got a bit better day 2.
