November 30, 2022 - Piemonte: Back to the truffling!; 11/24/2022-12/3/2022 (Wineries and various restaurants): A winery we were just at the day before. Rarely see any of those wines with some age on them and so we jumped on getting this off the list. It did not disappoint. Still bright and fresh and yet with some extra depth that comes with some more years. A bit of sediment so would recommend a double decant.

September 7, 2022 - Sorry everyone, I did not take any sort of formal notes on this one. I bought this in 2011 in Barbaresco
    the cork was perfect

Over all impression - young. this had everything in check - tannins, acid, fruit, length. After decanting for about 2 hours, it still was bundled up and not showing a ton of love. it is delicious but not showing all of it's cards. I would say if yours has been stored properly, you can keep this another 5 years.
I wish that I had not opened mine.

July 14, 2015 - Good traditional style. Dry fruits & red flowers, elegant & fresh

    March 17, 2013 - Garnet red, young.
Nose: quite intense but lacks clarity - vinous, red fruit, but rather stewed than fresh, hints of floral notes. Same on day 2, when I couldn't help noting a sense of heaviness.
Palate: fine grained strong tannins, good freshness, but the alcohol dominates the mid-palate. Not very expressive, lacks clarity and somewhat heavy too (alcohol).
Better on day 2, but I did not find myself reaching for the glass so often.

October 27, 2012 - Still very tannic, but with enough fruit to have a good aging potential. Traditional wine making. Delicate flavours
