  April 28, 2013 - Bottle #57: Much darker than on release. If you want a refreshing Rose but a little softer on the acidity, this is in a perfect place. Still lively enough for a warm day, but no bite to it. Glad I waited on a couple of these.

  October 1, 2012 - Light pink, copper, light pear nose. Off dry ripe pear fruit, tropical fruit notes, melon, smooth mouthfeel some light mineral, caramel on the finish. I would drink and not save any longer, not enough acid in the balance for further aging.

  August 19, 2012 - Light copper, tangerine nose. Dry with melon flavors, minor tartness and orange pith bitter. Good as always. Looking for more Smig, one left.

  August 18, 2011 - best showing from this wine yet. served at cellar temp and it was excellent. great big aromas of wild strawberries with a really interesting note of fennel seed and licorice. mineral and saline qualities on the palate, with a refreshing and delicious finish that played everything out beautifully. paired with a blt per tim fish of wine spectator's recommendation, and it didn't work for me. but the wine on its own was fabulous. this is in a really good spot right now.

  July 13, 2011 - Light copper. Sorry about the lack of notes, but msG and friend drank it up before I could get a decent taste, it must have been good!
