May 4, 2019 - Enjoyed our third bottle tonight with my wife's paella. Really drinking well now. Nicely integrated. The tannins have mellowed as expected. Perfect time to enjoy.

June 30, 2018 - This wine was excellent without decanting. Rich and deep flavors. Not as good the second day despite vacu vin.

November 14, 2017 - Plenty of dark fruit, a hint of tobacco and old leather. Some heat. Better after an hour of air.

June 13, 2016 - Drinking pretty close to peak after a few hours open. Fully mature black fruit, creamy yet tart cherry, some mint, tobacco, and damp wood. Still pretty tannic in the midsection and finish. Has 5 years or more left.

February 13, 2016 - Deep dark red center, red rim with some signs of age.
Great nose of black plums, dark cherries, black currants, tapenade, some sweetness, rubbing tobacco, a little mint.
Smooth, mature darker fruits, cherry and blackberry jam, integrated oak, modest tannin, touch of mint and eucalyptus, long finish of raspberries, bell pepper, and cayenne pepper.
This has aged excellently, ready to drink now, another great wine from Bill and the team.

October 14, 2015 - This wine is still in a good place, needed a few hours after opening to really come together, but we really enjoyed it.

October 18, 2013 - Dark purple with some garnet highlights. Raspberry, earth, spice, and leather nose. Medium to full bodied, smoke, black cherries, dust for days, firm tannins, tobacco, a bit of heat, and a medium to long dark chocolate finish. Sophisticated and delicious.

April 14, 2013 - Great Rutherford dust. Earthy, in fact, more earthy than I remember from the first bottle. Well made new world Cab with many old world notes.
