September 19, 2022 - De Magnum. Filtrado a la vista de la existencia de mucho poso, lo que es habitual en estos vinos. Color picota de capa media con borde muy atejado. Aroma de buena intensidad, totalmente terciario, rosas y violetas secas, lavanda, cuero, tierra, tabaco rubio. En boca presenta cuerpo medio y muy buena estructura, acidez correcta dada su edad, muy suave y elegante con taninos plenamente fundidos, expresividad media y final largo.
Excelente Rioja clásico y tradicional, armonioso, fino y elegante, pero ya netamente al final de su vida, todavía se puede disfrutar.
May 20, 2022 - La Rioja Alta 904 Vertical Night (Brooklyn): Definitely the most interesting bottle of the vertical. Medicinal herbs, omnipresent oak, hints of chocolate, acidity just starting to dip. This is a wine that is absolutely within the peak of his drinking window.
May 20, 2022 - Elegant and well integrated. Fruit is totally gone. Leather and cocoa have mellowed. Acid and tannin well balanced. Tasted in vertical with 1998, 2001, and 1997. 2001 was WOTN
January 23, 2022 - Pale garnet colored with lots of tawny notes towards the rim. Strawberries, cinnamon and dry leather in the nose. On the palate young strawberries, raspberries, rose hip, dried green herbs and soft dried tobacco. Medium (-) bodied with a fresh and medium intense acidity. Tannins are completely integrated. Very fine, light and harmonious mouth feeling. Nice structure but lacking a bit in complexity - that might be the age. Good overall balance. Refreshing and nice medium long finish.
This is still in a very nice drinking spot but it’s already past its prime, so better drink up within the next few years. (IG)

Takes at least 3 hours of aeration in the bottle. Classic old School Rioja at its best.Almost lean body, juicy, some red fruits, tertiary flavours in abundance (leather, underwood and herbs. Excellent length.
March 15, 2019 - Uncles Fine Wine Spring BYO (Home): Cola Colored. Sour and sweet, slender fruit. Agriculture. Some hints of structure. Lightly scented, and fine slim tones. Have probably peaked, and I think it's going down.
February 16, 2018 - Spectacular! Perfect timing but could sleep a little longer as well. Great nose, full and long mouth. Simply love it!
