February 28, 2018 - Drinking beautifully, with vibrant acidity, bold fruit, and minerally, earthy overtones piled onto a well structured spine of mature tannin. Just lovely, but sadly my last bottle. Drink now and over the next few years.

July 7, 2016 - Drinking very well right now, though still showing quite a bit of youthful structure and fruit. One bottle left, I'd recommend waiting another two years before opening it.

January 8, 2016 - Two and a half hour decant, this threw off a fair amount of sediment but was dark in the glass with a slightly lighter purple rim. The nose has strong elements of caramel, dark fruit, marshmallow and smoke. The palate, even after a multi hour decant, still has both angular acidity and structured tannins, with dark fruit dominating along with cloves and anise. Full bodied in style with a big mouthfeel and a long finish, this can certainly age longer or get much more decant time to even it out more fully.

November 7, 2014 - Bought a case of this, now down to 2 bottles. This is still young. Rough edges are gone, but tannins still strong. Should have years left. Nice balance. May want to decant as a lot of fine sediment.

September 28, 2014 - Outstanding juice. I was expecting it to be pretty tough, so I paired it with a chicken in ancho cream sauce, and that worked out really well, with the cream helping to soften the tannins, while the fruit concentration in the wine had no problem standing up to the gentle piquancy of the ancho chile. The wine is still in the very early stages of maturity and should easily handle another 5 years of cellaring.
