November 18, 2023 - Excellent. Though certainly an Old World style, it shone with a roast chicken and was enjoyed by the non-wine drinkers we had over. Holding just fine.

February 4, 2022 - I am going down to 92 - this wine is not as impressive as the one I had 9 month a go - still fruit driven yes - but much more mature and because of that you are loosing some freshness and afffecting the overall balance. Still medium acidity and tannins.

April 3, 2021 - Really impressed by this wine - so fruit driven - on the nose I get mostly strawberries. On the palette it is a combination of red fruits - strawberries and cherries and maybe also hints of red currant. Mediam acidity and tannins (soft and pleasant) - great balance - good long aftertaste. Also clearly some flowernotes - I think this is great wine that can last for some time - I am impressed about how fruit driven this wine still is - will give 93 - but was clearly thinking about 94.

August 23, 2016 - I have purchased a case of it and tried a few bottles in 2016. This is my 3rd bottle before I write a note. The wine is a bit closed and I don't feel the expressiveness of the wine as a Gevrey. I will put this aside for another 2 years before i open any of these. A very elegant Gevrey overall but just not intense and complex as I expect.

January 7, 2012 - This had the nose I'd expect from a 2008 Gevrey-Chambertin; dry-aged beef, dark spices, and earth with an undercurrent of minerals and red fruit. The palate, however, was far more fruited and lush than I had expected with a more vivid fruit profile and the earth toned down a bit. Still very enjoyable, and if the acid was a hair less, would be a dead ringer for a 2009 Gevrey.

June 3, 2011 - Cellar Visit: Domaine Marc Roy (Gevrey Chambertin): Deeper, denser and darker, more spice. 100% millerendage berries. Almost black fruit. Tannins still quite fury but a silky feel to the whole package. **(**)
