October 17, 2021 - Brought en primeur and well stored since new, this wine is surprisingly still very austere and not my style. Get beyond the austerity and it is surprisingly complex for a village wine though. Could have done with a bit more sweetness and red fruit. Will it ever come round? Somehow I doubt it.

May 5, 2016 - This has improved and entering a more interesting window. Still some austere 08 characteristics but seems more integrated and ready.

November 8, 2014 - Had with the 2010 and this lost by two points. Nice nose of twigs and bark. More austere and rustic than 2010 with less elegance. Palate is a bit rustic.

June 13, 2013 - Medium ruby. Light nose of red cherries, smoke, violets, earth. Palate has medium tanins, medium-high acidity, with a grainy mid-palate and a balanced, medium length finish. Really good village wine.

May 13, 2013 - Medium plus color. Lovely red pinot nose with a tad of smokiness. Pure on the palate, good acidity and really at a good place right now. More red than black fruits here and entirely primary with smooth tannins. Very good for what it is.
