February 19, 2019 - Immediately out of the bottle the wine has enormous aromatics of grape jelly, and freshly laid pavement of asphalt. On the palette there is an immediate grape jelly flavor and a vegetable background. Tobacco leaf comes through at mid pallete and the finish is long and with acidic core that allows the fruit to linger for literally 30 seconds.

Thick and viscous mouthfeel. Color is deep and dark with a cloudy in glass appearance.

June 19, 2018 - Wish I had bought more of these when they first came out. As good as this varietal gets. What I loved on this tasing was the combination of ripe fruit and very rich, velvety texture. A huge crowd pleaser among folks who were unfamiliar with this grape (as, I suspect, too many people will be).

September 22, 2015 - I had put away and stopped drinking my Turley wines and have recently started to drink my remaining ones. Still lots of fruit and glycerin, and a long finish. Deep dark color and with a very long finish. Sadly my last bottle of this.

February 7, 2015 - Great young wine. Needs decanting well in advance of drinking, both for sediment and to soften a bit. Wonder what another 15 years will do for it. I'll be 90 then. We shall see.

June 21, 2014 - Decanted for 4 hours. This baby of a wine is a classic petite sirah purple from core to edge. Smooth lush black and blue fruit - like many young petite sirahs monolithic at first, but you sense that much more will emerge with patience. Long finish. Will revisit in about 5+ years.
