March 13, 2014 - La Paulee "Warm-up" Dinner (RN74 - San Francisco CA): Served alongside Camille Giroud 71 Suchots. 4th bottle from the same case opened over the past 2 years, this was another of the great ones! Plenty of mature red berry with spice that was unmistakably Vosne. Lots of earth. Everything is in the right place, in the right proportion.

September 30, 2013 - A small impromptu gathering at The Capital Grille – 85 La La, 61 HB, 52 CB, 90 Margaux and etc. (The Capital Grille at Tysons corner, VA): A few years back, Arnouxs released a bunch of reconditioned bottles and this is one of them. This example is in-line with CT user psmith’s bottle “Mature, certainly; raspberry fighting a losing battle with more autumnal notes. Resolved structurally, and fading a bit in the middle, but enjoyable.” The nose is quite musty, not TCA tainted and it didn’t blow off. Mostly tertiary, mushroom, caramel, oxidized apple peel and earth. Fully resolved and integrated palate with a hint of madeirized note at the end which clips the finish. This would have been a nice wine while back. Need to be drunk up quickly.

December 8, 2012 - Eighth Annual White Truffle Dinner (Chez Weber - Chicago IL): This is the 3rd or 4th bottle from the same case purchased at auction a couple of years ago. Sensational balance of red fruit, great mushroom character and lots of brown spice. Incredibly elegant, long and persistent.

November 24, 2012 - Leroy, Unico, Rayas, Ravenau and etc (Washington DC): Sou bois, allspice and raspberry jelly. beautifully matured with a slight hint of oxidation, complexity coming from the age not from the fruit. Lovely but not a good QPR.

November 1, 2012 - This was great. I remember when these reconditioned Arnouxs came out a few years ago, they tasted very young and "freshened up" but this one was just perfect old Burgundy. Practically amber in color, pungent aromatics, structure totally resolved, sweet and savory and brothy and briary and everything else.
