March 22, 2017 - Almond orange and lemon peel on the nose. Palate is rich oranges, curaƧao, and roasted pine and peanuts. Slightly one Dimensional, but very yummy. Good Tawny value.

April 6, 2016 - A business dinner (Amsterdam): Bottled 2015. No detailed notes but very similar to my previous experience. An attractive if not overly exciting Colheita - the structural weakness did not seem as vexing today as it was in October 2015.

March 25, 2016 - Bottled 2015. Maple brown sugar and blood oranges dominate the nose. This Port has a healthy dose of acidity, which was lacking in the 1996 Colheita. No shortage of toffee, dried nuts, orange peel, and fully resolved tannins. I really liked the fact this didn't have any dead spots as it transitioned from the palate to the moderately long finish. A very nice younger Colheita that I look forward to trying again some years down the road, if they kept some for future bottlings that is.

December 17, 2015 - Light bodied and sweet, this is a one dimensional port with a good trace of wood at the back end. Last bottle from a 750 showed much more nuts and toffee. This 375 is at peak with little left to give. Fun winter warmer....Drink

October 10, 2015 - Bottled 2015. Quite mature in appearance, brownish tawny with little red left; brown sugar and wood on the nose, hints of warm spices (cinnamon) and candied red fruit but not much depth or nuance; elegantly sweet palate, soft and caramelly, light and slightly weak in structure, with an attractive but slightly drying salty tang from the wood, light flavours; light but persistent finish. A decent Colheita but hardly Kopke's finest hour.
