August 20, 2019 - Bought a case a decade ago. This is my first bottle. Tart Apple with some brioche. Lovely mouthfeel. Seriously good wine.

April 23, 2019 - Magnum. Fruktdriven årgång, bra syra, kändes väldigt ung.

April 18, 2019 - Five years since last bottle. Everything is still there: coffee, toffee, dill, sea water, yellow apples and hard bread on the nose. Time has done this wine good. Some additional honey, oxidized apples and muscovado sugar as well.

Deep, full bodied on the palate with great coffee-stained oxidized granny smith apples, toffee, red cassics and hard bread. Heavy, with great structure yet with piercing fizzy acid. There are so many layers in this wine that every sip gives a new experience.

This is still the best champagne I have ever had before. Bottled perfection speaking to my heart.

December 22, 2018 - CES 50th Anniversary Dinner: Allowed to slo-ox for 10 minutes, and the second glass seemed better than the first. This is our first experience with this wine and we like it! Faint hints of pinot on the nose. Definite pinot on the palate (the blend is 70% PN + 30% Chd), along with some apple, and only a touch of brioche. The mousse is wonderfully fine and creamy yielding a superb mouthfeel. The acidity is balancing (or maybe, just maybe, a touch too low). Not sure about the drink window, but remember that this is almost a 20 year old wine.
All in all, this was an exceedingly enjoyable Champagne experience. We're glad we have one more bottle, and will be excited to try other vintages of this very enjoyable wine.

September 6, 2018 - Good, but missing mid plate energy and fruit flavors a bit dull.

(Pol Roger Cuvée Winston Churchill) A refined style on the nose, lightly honeyed with polished fruit and a wisp of smoke. Very elegantly composed. Great harmony, grippy and quite primary and yet still very harmonious. A lovely style, fine composition, clearly tip-top quality. This is wonderful to experience now, but it should be given time in the cellar to reveal its true magnificence.
