September 2, 2019 - Pol Roger Winston Churchill Magnum 2002.
Pen dybde her, røde epler, krydder, svakt autolysepreg og gjærbakst.
    Topp vin. 94-95p

August 31, 2019 - Over dinner, no formal notes. Golden yellow in colour. Complex on the nose - yeasty, mineral, white and yellow fruit, nuts. Fresh and mineral on the palate, layered with good generosity and impressive length. 94-96?

August 17, 2019 - Meursault Perrieres blind tasting 1988-2011: From Magnum. Much better showing than four years ago. Really complete. Feels like in the peak drinking window, notes of lime, pear, brioche, bakery, nuts. Wonderfully complex. Good acidity, lively mousse.

August 12, 2019 - A fresh nose of ripe apple, toast and peach. It is complex, full and rich, with a relatively high dosage feel, countered by chalky acidity. Length is good.

August 7, 2019 - Still very young, at first this is a bit dumb on the nose. The impact is more clear on the palate where there's wonderful lemon custard, mineral, brioche, and peony. I'd be inclined to tuck these away for some time yet.

July 18, 2019 - Summer of champagne 2002 vintage (Park Ridge Country Club): Deeper color, great mouthfeel. Drinking well now and probably over the next 10 years.

July 17, 2019 - 2002 Vintage Champagne horizontal (Elystan Street, London): Noticeable pinot dominated blend, visually copper, this was a very good showing and good contrast to the sweeter Piper Rare alongside. The CSWC was to me cleaner, less dosage and blessed with a nice salty kiss on the aftertaste that made it very interesting. I like this and it was a bit of a redemption for the house after its 08 underwhelmed us at the prior tasting. WOTF for me.

July 13, 2019 - Tasted vertical of 02, 04, 06 and 08. Finished in tie for second with the 08 imo. Deep yellow, ,Rich, biscuit . apple, and some peach. big style. Excellent acid. Obviously More mature than the 08, therefore it had an edge.

July 5, 2019 - RIBBS @ La T (La Trompette, London): Very vinous. Broad and full. Quite meaty with a touch of red apple. Similar to last showing, far more poised and together than straighT 02 Pol, but broad in a muscular rather than flabby way. Personally I’d prefer just a little more elegance though there was certainly lots of complexity and interest. ****
