  June 10, 2010 - Guessing as to exactly when we drank this. This wine just starting to show some aromatics and a little depth. Sooo disappointed with the first few bottles of this case purchase, but maybe it has a future - finally. And improved through the meal so there is hope. Will try another soon. Not headed for the sauce pot yet!

  March 1, 2010 - This has finally opened for business. Ruby color. Tight nose of cherry and cassis, which follows through to the palate. Tannins still present, but they have softened and moved to the background, allowing the fruit to come forward. It's still a little austere, but in a good way now.

  July 20, 2008 - I'd hoped that my first bottle from a year ago was just not ready. Well, it's still not, and I'm beginning to doubt it will ever shed its considerable tannin overlaid on austere fruit. Will wait another year, but this one may be headed for the spaghetti sauce pot. Nice color, promising nose, but searing tannin and little fruit. In the words of Monty Python, a wine to be laid down and avoided...at least for now.
