  70% Grenaches
  17% Mourvèdres
  10% Syrah
  3% Cinsaults
  Manual harvest and sorting.
  Part whole bunch, rest de-stemmed for 2-3 week fermentation.
  Aged primarily in concrete and stainless steel vats, except Syrah
  in 1-2 use oak casks.
  12.5% Abv.
  Domaine: Family history dates back to 17th century.
  Lucien Brunel established "Les Cailloux" in 1954.
  André Brunel took over In 1971, and joined by son Fabrice in 2012.
  
  Mid/low-neck fill. Intact cork slipped in bottle on slight push.
  Decanted 8 hours and drank over 2 hours.
  
  A(ccuracy)=2: Med brick/amber rim. Mature fragrance.
  B(alance)=3: Fine evolved tertiary components in perfect harmony.
  C(omplexity)=2: Fruit preserve, tea, tobacco.
  D(epth)=2: Silky mouthfeel. Impressive length and finish.

  April 25, 2019 - Deep dark colour.
  Superb ripe dark berries, dark spice, soy, tar, liquorice. Beautifully fragrant.
  Solid, rich and ripe, tar spice, plums, some raspberry, meat stock complexity, soy and iron filings. Delicious, deeply flavoured. Firm acidity fine tannins. Many years ahead.
