    April 19, 2015 - Two bottles, tasted sidy-by-side.
Bottle #1: Medium brick color, slight haze. Deep aroma of kirsch and leather, with spice and smoky hints of meat and earth and definite hints of barnyard. Palate is medium-full with chewy red fruit, lingering oak, smoke, and wonderful leather. Amazingly fresh acidity remaining.
Bottle #2: Medium brick, but nearly clear. Huge nose of sage, herbs, mineral, cherry. Much different from bottle #1, sharper and more focused. Delicious palate of bacon fat, dried herbs, mineral, leather, and macerated red fruit.
