October 7, 2023 - Epic. Apricot, mango and quince with a rich honey mouthfeel giving lots of ripe fruit then long long finish without sharp acidity. Whilst ripe fruit it never feels desert-sweet and actually matched wonderfully with large BBQd sole and salad. Very easy to drink - with or without food, and only 7%. Has ages in the tank but also wonderful now. Buy on sight. Drink to 2040. 98pts

May 9, 2023 - Jeremy's Riesling Dinner (Hawthorn): Mid straw. Exotic, spicy nose - seamlessly aromatic. Ripe and impactful on the palate, with sweet citrus, excellent balance and a very long finish. Just lovely, but slightly overborne by the quirky Eiswein we drank alongside.

October 1, 2021 - Second bottle and a slight acid lick can be felt on the finish that was shrouded by sweetness a little while back. Lovely purity. Excellent

February 24, 2021 - From 375, drank over a few weeks using coravin. Sourced from the Wine Society a few months ago. Beautiful, pure, with a slight shimmy. Pineapple, mango, coconut on the nose. Lovely golden colour. Rich, honeyed texture. Sweetness balanced with acidity, still tasted young, vibrant and many years to go. Incredibly long, still tasting after 1-2 minutes. First ‘gold cap’ aged Riesling I’ve had - worth the money? Well, who knows, that’s very subjective, but no doubt this is an impressive, beautiful wine.

February 13, 2020 - With Bento Box from Ishizuka, Melbourne. This is a complete and beautiful Riesling with a pale gold colour and a soaring nose of lime, pineapple, apricots, quince and honey. The palate is beautifully rich and complex reflecting the fruits of the nose but with added touches of dark cherry and leatherwood honey all finished with a touch of stony minerality and a fine line of acidity. The balance and viscosity are terrific and lead to a persistence that makes it hard to want anything else for ages and ages.
