  December 27, 2019 - Friday Tasting Group: "Killer Bar" (#06 for me) (Vintage Wines Ltd., San Diego, CA): "Clos de la Justice" is apparently a monople.
  
  N: ATTRACTIVE cherries with notes of spice, orange peel, & undertones of forest floor; Intensity lurking
  
  P: Med body; RNDISH entry with very NICE, ALMOST swtish frt met by an astringent pucker which fairly seamlessly evolves into a LONG, balanced finish with a BITTER/swt (60:40) firmness to the dusty tannins. For now with food (where the firmness MAY not be an issue), & IF the finish catches up with the aromas, my EXC-/EXC *will* be on the low side.

  October 14, 2016 - Light crimson color with ample bricking. Lots of juicy, sweet black fruit on the nose, with aromas of kola nut and charcoal. The palate starts quite mineral-driven, becomes a bit green and stemmy at midpalate, and then finishes tart and acidic. I wish some more of the nose's fruitiness had persisted in the mouth, which feels a bit unbalanced in favor of the acidity. In any case this is not tired or faded, which is quite an accomplishment after 33 years. Fine Burgundy.
