February 2, 2014 - Bricked but put on weight in the glass to turn a darker purple. Nose typical of older bordeaux, some brett, smoke and aged berries, before iron/beefblood dominated. Definitely more masculine and brawny on the palate, fruit still there but fading somewhat. Finished slightly bitter and with some vegetable notes which I didn't like. Will be good with food, by itself, lacks oomph.
