Community Tasting Notes 68

September 18, 2023 - Aged for 12 years, unfortunately falls short in its delivery. The tannins have dissolved over time, but it lacks the fruity notes one would expect, resulting in a rather one-dimensional profile. The heavy oak influence is evident, with a strong vanilla flavour. Overall, it doesn't represent a successful effort in winemaking.

April 9, 2023 - Big deep and mature. Brighter fruit is gone but its base now black dried cherries with big chocolate and leather notes. Truly a great wine, and still has life at 16 years. Bought a long time ago on a whim, should have bought a case.

May 9, 2021 - How this is a 2007 is beyond me. Deep, dark, thick fruit. Blackberry, rose petal. Still has firm tannins. Beautiful wine. Would love to find another and have it at the 20 year mark.

December 30, 2020 - Rich spices an berries, dense on the palate. A great Chilean blend. Pleased to have waited several years

May 4, 2020 - It's come around very nicely, well integrated with a very pleasant smoky wood component. Needs bottle aging to show its potential.
